I got a full GPS track of my favorite hiking loop. Fed into Google Earth it looks like this:
Again, this was done with a 25lb backpack. The one point in the hike at around the 1.25mi mark is a nasty hill. I’d probably rank it as a Class 2 (some people may need to use hands to balance.) There’s actually a different attack point of that hill that’s a Class 3. I use trees and the ground for hand-holds, and I have to choose my footholds very carefully.
A fun little ‘walk’ with the backpack. About 660ft of cumulative elevation change, 2.19 miles, in 40 minutes.
